Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Here is a recipe that has been in my family for a while. Not only are these muffins a million times better than ANY store bought variety, they are easy to make, cheap and actually quite healthy for you. Pumpkins are high in fiber, vitamin A and low in calories! In this recipe you use half whole wheat flour instead of all white flour.

1 cup white flour .
1 teaspoon soda 1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup pumpkin
3/4 cup Chocolate chips
Directions: Combine dry ingredients and combine the wet ingredients separately then mix together with the pumpkin. divide the batter into mini muffin trays and cook for 7-8 mins...

This recipe will save you lots of money. Most of this stuff you will already have in your pantry besides maybe the pumpkin and chocolate chips.

Starbucks Coffee

I, and many more people I am sure LOVE Starbucks coffee. I swear it just tastes better!!! The cost however can add up very quickly. If you buy a Starbucks mocha every day before work you are looking at spending over $1000 a year on coffee!!!! When you actually look at the numbers it just sounds crazy.... Now I am not saying you should deprive yourself of ever again having Starbucks coffee...
1. Choose one day out of the week to get Starbucks, i.e. reward yourself every Friday :)
2. Make a "ghetto" mocha- Put a pack of hot chocolate mix in your coffee cup and pour coffee in. It actually tastes really good and is sooooo much cheaper.
3. When it comes to those delish Starbucks treats......

-At the beginning of each week make a batch of your favorite muffins, each morning pop one in the microwave and you have your delicious mocha along with your warm breakfast treat.

BUDGETS!!!!

A Budget..... For some people it can induce feelings of fear, worry and stress. For others a budget can give a sense of accomplishment, and stress relief. Most people go through many ups and downs throughout their life when it comes to money. What you want to be sure of is that you will have a cushion for when times get tough.

An easy way to set your budget is to follow the 50/30/20 rule. You take your monthly income after taxes and divide it up. If you make $4000 a month it would divide up as follows.

%50 = $2000 = Needs i.e. rent, bills, gas, food, etc.
%30 = $1200 = Wants i.e. going out, new clothes, etc.
%20 = $800 = Savings Account!!!

After just one year of following this formula you will have $9,600 in your savings account!!!!
